While some people seem to think that humor is being used to make fun of America and culture, I believe that America and culture have been used to make a brand of humor that I miss. Silliness. Borat didn't exactly offend me And this is coming from a guy whose got a Jewish family and some deeply patriotic friends but it energized me and I was thoroughly entertained by the experience. Borat is sophisticated yet it's very very stupid. it's smart ass and non-sequitor at the same time. It isn't making fun of anything really. It's just using the offensive, tabboo, and inappropriate aspects of pop culture and america and saying Look how funny this can be! LIGHTEN UP PEOPLE. For all those people who just didn't find it funny that's ok but for those who think that this is some conspiracy film to spoil america's name, it's just taking some of the nastier aspects of it and turning the joke on the public. Sure it might reveal some things about our culture but let's not make it out to a film that should unhinge our very way of thinking. If you find something to think about from the film, great.
